The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. But factor into how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
